There is NO getting around it. I can tell myself that SMOEDAY I'll shoot the guns I have that will likely wreck my ears even MORE.

But ....yesterday..... I went out with my new 22 extra long barrel rifle and .....like an IDIOT..... decided to "SHOOT UP" ....just SMOE.... of the Hi Velocity 22 ell arrs I had.

My ears ARE that bad. Standard velocity 22....no prob.
Just add the MINISCULE difference of the extra 200 fps and the sound WILL get in enough to make my ears WAY worse.

Sooooooo....... after careful consideration, I have decided to ....SELL..... the damn guns I own that I am scared to shoot.

Damn.

Still debating on whether to sell the ammo, too. New CA.... law   in effect Jan 1 will require ALL ammo sales to be through a dealer. With a $5 (initially) transfer fee.
AND..... I sorta consider ammo to be one of the BEST "barter" items if I need smoe Depends while out in the woods stalking commies, pinkos, and holding off the BATF agents.

So I'm charging my camera battery in prep for taking a LOT of pitchers.

Damnit Rollo. I never pay attention to this incessant ringing until you bring it up.

I'd pay to get just the ringing back.
It's gone to plugged distortion now.
With ringing too.

Bad.

Look at the bright side, the Livermore Wassail feast will be much quieter this year.

Bad.

My doc at House ear clinic wrote a long script for a compounded Rx. Took it to my compounding pharmacist, he said this OTC product has 95% of what the doc wanted me to compound, and is a lot cheaper.

The tinnitus is no longer the problem. Most likely is bone conduction through the cranial bone.

FUG!

FUG!

Friend's daughter had surgery for noise conducted through some artery in her ear, last month. Surgery made it worse.

Kaiser, San Francisco.

I had that too.

4 cortisone shots into the middle ear, over 8 weeks, made it better.

No it doesn't.

Think how sensitive the inner ear is. Sharp pain during injection. You cannot move at all during injection. Sharp pain continues off and on for weeks afterwards due to 'assault' (injection) into inner ear.
