Is there software to so that I can take my pics and put them into a nice side by side presentation? I've seen smoe presentation pics at CU that have a nice reflection of the coin near its base, plus the date and grade.

From what I can recall most users are using Photoshop, and others have had success with paint.net for the same effect.

I'm no supergenius (just a regulargenius), so I use photoscape. Makes circle cropping and side by side arrangement easy for me. Learned about this program from Texas Richard years ago.

makes it so easy:

The saturation wasn't touched. Hold a PCGS holder up to a 150w quartz light.

it is a contrasty image and images with lots of contrast can look color-saturated.

you light it just right, you can get this effect without photoshop.

it probably does not quite look like that in hand under room light.

is that a little bit of toning shadow under the date? toning shadow is kewl.

Yes on the shadow under the date. That coin did look like that (actually better) in normal room light. BTW, that image is over ten years old.

Here's one in a newer holder. The first one I posted above was in the old holder which was really bad. The PCGS holders tend to bring out the chromatic aberration in lenses.

There is a utility called Irfanview which is FREE and once set up, from the top menu bar select image and then create panoramic image. A nice feature is that if you are doing multiples it saves images to the same location until you change it. Not sure how to do reflections with it.

With Photoscape I think you just select the combine tool.

With Photoscape select editor and near the bottom use home, then filter and from that menu select reflection.
