Does anyone know if there's a number on the update that will try to infiltrate a W7 system.

Does MSFT get any virgins for converting infidels to their radical forced attack?

I found this:

http://www.infoworld.com/article/302961 ... ck-it.html

Quote:
The easiest way to keep "Upgrade to Windows 10" from appearing on your system? Run Mayfield's GWX Control Panel. He describes the process in the section "How do I block Windows 10?" in his user guide. The key setting is the one he calls "Are Windows 10 upgrades allowed?" That's the one linked to DisableOSUpgrade in the registry. Alternatively, if you really want to use regedit, you can set DisableOSUpgrade by hand.

Clicking on the red part of the above notice I get:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3080351

Quote:
Microsoft has released new updates to enable you to block upgrades to Windows 10 through Windows Update. These updates install a new Group Policy Setting. Computers that have this Group Policy Setting enabled will never detect, download, or install an upgrade to the latest version of Windows.

To obtain and install these updates, go to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base articles:

3065987 Windows Update Client for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2: July 2015
3065988 Windows Update Client for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2: July 2015
To configure this Group Policy Setting by using Group Policy, the following conditions apply:

The appropriate update must be installed.
You must use the updated WindowsUpdate.admx file by copying the file from the editing policy location.
Computer Configuration
To block the upgrade by using Computer Configuration, follow these steps:

Click Computer Configuration.
Click Policies.
Click Administrative Templates.
Click Windows Components.
Click Windows Update.
Double-click Turn off the upgrade to the latest version of Windows through Windows Update.
Click Enable.
Policy path: Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Windows Update Policy
Setting: Turn off the upgrade to the latest version of Windows through Windows Update
Windows registry
Important Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.

To block the upgrade to Windows 10 through Windows Update, specify the following registry value:

Subkey: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
DWORD value: DisableOSUpgrade = 1

Is all that Elmo easy?

God damn Microsoft!

It's child's play compared with tracking down some plist file on OS X, er macOS, that is breaking your computer.

Ever install something on Linux and have it wipe out your GUI? Any idea what a bitch it is to get it back without reinstalling the entire OS?

All OSs suck in their own unique and sucky ways.

What about the simple questions I asked?
