I just buy boneless skinless chicken breasts and fry them in a little soy sauce. It's not imaginative, but they're edible. Actually, they taste fairly good.

I bought one of those poultry thermometers. You take a whole chicken, put whatever spices you like on it, then throw it in the oven at 350 degrees. When the thermometer hits 165 (I think) it's done to perfection. :D

I also chop up some potatoes and cook it with chunks of chicken... can also do it with steak... if steak, I generally get tenderloin tips, a bit more money than cheap pieces, but good stuff... cook it up in one pan, splash a little soy sauce in at the end, let it cook for 30 seconds more and then take it off the stove... good bachelor meal...
